How it works

First we need a kanji.

This kanji means "four" in English.

Most kanji are made of parts.

These are the parts for "four."

Put the parts together to make the kanji.

The kanji 四 has one on-yomi (Chinese Sound Reading).

The sound reading tells you what the kanji sounds like.

The on-yomi for 四 is シ(shi).

In K-FRU, every on-yomi has an English sound word to help you remember it.

The sound word for シ is Sheila.
